It’s one thing to set yourself a challenging goal. It’s quite another to deliver on it without delay. At the start of the year, we reached a milestone: We have now rolled out DACHSER Emission-Free Delivery in 25 European metropolitan regions. This means we not only achieved our target within three years but even exceeded it.

What does this mean in practice? In defined downtown areas, all non-refrigerated groupage deliveries are exclusively zero-emission. What started as a pilot project in Stuttgart in 2018 has become part of everyday logistics operations in ten countries. Today, our city-center fleet already comprises 60 electric trucks and 13 cargo bikes. In 2025, these vehicles covered around 1.8 million kilometers without greenhouse gas emissions—an average of around 7,000 kilometers per day.
This success is a reflection of our collective network strength and motivation. Our branches utilize a modular toolbox that enables each location to implement the best solution for its specific local requirements.
