Quick Read
Émilie, Élisabeth, and Océane are united by their courage and ability to overcome challenges. Their varied careers at DACHSER are characterized by encounters, opportunities, and above all, a passion for their profession.
Taking on new challenges
Émilie Bion comes from Franche-Comté in eastern France and initially studied quality, health, and safety. In 2006, she joined DACHSER for the first time as part of a dual study program and quickly encountered a new and exciting topic: the transport of dangerous goods. This was the starting point for a varied career: she became an occupational health and safety consultant in the Paris region, health and safety manager for DACHSER France at the headquarters in La Verrie, and then quality & master data project manager.
Looking for a whole new challenge, Émilie accepted the position of long-distance transport manager offered to her at the Wissous branch in 2021: “I already had a strong connection with the teams in operations. The opportunity to return to a transport branch was a chance for me to immerse myself fully in operations and experience the processes there firsthand.” Since the end of 2025, Émilie has been a trucking manager, leading a team of 13 employees and ensuring that deliveries and pickups run smoothly and customers are satisfied. She is delighted with the trust placed in her, is constantly learning new things, and at the same time supports the further development of her colleagues. For Émilie, her development at DACHSER is proof that we are all capable of overcoming any obstacles to achieve our goals.

Taking a very personal path
Élisabeth Petit came across DACHSER rather by chance in 2003 during an internship as part of her trade studies. She was not particularly interested in logistics, but she discovered her passion in operational work. However, she initially gained work experience elsewhere and worked in the IT industry, in transport department. But one phone call was enough to bring her back to DACHSER in 2006. She joined the customer service team in Vichy, where she quickly developed her skills while also acquiring knowledge in the areas of customer service, disputes, charter, and truck transport.
The opening of the Eurohub in Clermont-Ferrand in 2011 marked an important turning point in her working life. Élisabeth climbed the career ladder, working night shifts, as well as an executive assistant, transport processing assistant, and finally as deputy production manager. Since 2023, she has been Transport Production Manager, leading a team of twelve employees. She monitors transport schedules, adjusts volumes according to seasonal demand, manages vehicle purchases, and much more—in coordination with other departments and branches throughout the European network. It is a true team effort, and one in which she has found her place. For Élisabeth Petit, one thing is clear: “It’s about personality and doing what you love.”

Moving forward courageously
As Océane Maillet listened to her father talk passionately about his work, she realized that she too wanted to enter the transport and logistics industry. In 2022, she began a dual study program in operations at DACHSER Rouen. She quickly recognized the diversity of the tasks and integrated herself fully into the daily routine of the department, supported by competent guidance. “I was given trust—and that in turn gave me self-confidence and made me more independent,” Océane reports.
After giving a lot of thought to her future and discussing it with her supervisor, Océane finally found her path. Since 2024, she has been working successfully for DACHSER as an operations specialist and is very grateful for this opportunity. She particularly appreciates the flexibility and diversity of her tasks and being involved in all aspects of the department.
The dynamic young woman has found her place and successfully asserted herself. Since her dual studies, she has felt a real change: more self-confidence and a sharp mind—reinforced by years of Thai boxing. This allows her to approach things and interact with others in a relaxed manner despite her young age. For her, it is the interaction that matters—not the differences.
